Description: Dinner with Duke Professor Krithi Karanth
Welcome to Duke India, the Duke community where you live. With support from all Duke schools and departments, we are creating a more collaborative, comprehensive Duke presence in the India area. In the past, you have been invited to participate in activities by the Duke Club of India, but now the Duke Club has been re-branded as Duke India, and local programming will be diverse and tailored to your needs. We gather to socialize and watch Duke sports, participate in civic engagement projects, interview prospective students and welcome recent Duke graduates and alums who are new to our area.
The Duke Alumni Association is fortunate to have committed volunteers organizing regional programming across the United States and around the world. Through Alumni Admissions Advisory Committee (AAAC) interviews with prospective students, events organized with alumni and current students studying in the region, and bringing speakers and events from campus to our alumni, the Duke Alumni Association (DAA) offers a way to keep in touch with old friends, meet new ones and stay engaged with Duke.
Now, with the help of our committed local alumni leaders, we’re pleased to launch Duke India! The Duke India website will be active in the early part of the New Year and will serve as your hub for happenings with Duke India and contact information for staff and volunteers. In the meantime, we wanted to bring a few upcoming events to your attention as we look forward to expanding the number of opportunities available to alumni in India.
If you would be interested in joining our leadership team and organizing those activities in your area, please be in touch with your local leader or Kate Kemery in our DAA office in Durham.
