Committee members serve a one-year term, beginning in the summer prior to the reunion. Committee members will be asked to:
Review a class roster to identify potential prospects
Solicit approximately ten classmates for gifts or multi-year pledges to the Duke Annual Fund
Encourage classmates to attend Reunions Weekend
Update their team leader and/or Annual Fund staff liaison on the progress of solicitation calls, and participate in periodic conference calls with other gift committee volunteers
Demonstrate a personal commitment to the reunion gift effort by making a stretch gift or multi-year pledge
Attend Reunions Weekend
Most contacts will be made during the fall prior to Thanksgiving. During the spring, committee members may be called upon to follow up with classmates who have not yet made reunion gift commitments.
