FIVE YEARS! Can you believe it?
In just a few short months, our class of 2003 is invited to rally back to Durham for a weekend of reliving college, catching up with old friends, and meeting new ones. Our 5th-year reunion weekend is April 11-13, 2008. We have already begun planning several fantastic events and hope you will be able to join us in the festivities. Please save the date. You will receive official information from Duke in August and, if you have any questions, you can always go to our reunion website at www.dukealumni.com/2003.
In addition to a fabulous class party Friday night, a Saturday afternoon tailgate, and an alumni party Saturday night, this year we will be revisiting the old East Campus dorm rivalries. Each freshman dorm will be competing to see which (and transfers, we will collectively consider you a dorm as well) can get the highest attendance at Reunions and the highest participation in the 5th-reunion gift campaign that supports the Duke Annual Fund.
In order to make this work, we need team captains from each dorm to volunteer to lead your dorm to victory. There will be a fun prize for the winning dorm members (in addition to the satisfaction of beating your former rival dorms). If you are interested in leading your dorm, send an email by Friday, August 10, to kim@daa.duke.edu and title the email “2003 Dorm Challenge.” (We'll provide you with your dorm members’ contact information.)
Additionally, if you are interested in joining the planning or giving committees, helping create or write articles for the class newsletter, or want to learn about other ways to get involved with our reunion, please also email Kim Hanauer at kim@daa.duke.edu for more information, and title the email “2003 Volunteer.”
We look forward to seeing you back at Duke!
Best regards,
